In spite of the contrary value system of the world and the contradictions aimed at watering down the standards for marriage laid down in the scripture, Pr Peter Kasirivu has urged Christian couples in Uganda to pursue the truth in the bible and submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

The founder Africa Renewal University and Gaba Community Church recently addressed believers noting that a woman’s beauty should go beyond what many see on the surface.

Pastor Kasirivu also spotlighted feminism, a popular philosophy that advocates equal rights for women and men—socially, politically, economically, and in other way.

“There is something inside of women that makes the world attracted to them. It is the beauty that comes from the inside. Your beauty should go beyond what we see on the surface; It’s that simplicity, humility and acceptance of the fact that God made you beautiful,” he said.

“A lady is a person respectable. You cannot be respectable, unless you respect yourself. When you look yourself in a mirror before you get out of your house, do you look like the image of God. Will they that look at you, and see Jesus , or they will see somebody else,” Pastor Kasirivu stated.

He quoted Proverbs 31:25, urging that a Christian woman should not be disquieted by uncertainty, knowing in whom she trusts, and having done her duty to the utmost of her ability.

Around the globe today, radical feminists deny there is any difference between men and women, teaching that any perceived differences between the sexes are due solely to social conditioning.

“The feminist movement (woman emancipation or women supremacy) was a reaction to the way men mistreated women. They put them down and stamped on them. The women wanted to rise up to say, ‘no, we are there, recognize who we are’. But the way they did it, they actually went on the extreme – which has done a disservice to society, more than blessing us. Women, should be women.” Pastor Kasirivu stated.

“The way God made us, men are different from women. As we think about our live, we need to be who God made us to be. Our voices are different. we are physically different. If you are a women, don’t try to be a man. Your womanhood is your pride,” he said.

The preacher said a woman can do any work that a man does.

“God spoke and ruled through women. We had women like Miriam, Deborah and Huldah. These people served in political leadership, so a woman can do that. Women led worship. We read about Miriam, Moses’ sister in the bible, she led worship. God highlighted women in his genealogy, when you track the lineage of Jesus, women participated in the story of salvation. God listened to the prayers of women, do you remember Hannah, the mother to Samuel? Hagar the mother to Ishmael? God used women and still does today,” he said.

“Jesus’ ministry would not happen if it wasn’t for women. Women were very crucial in the establishment of the gospel. Women today can be teachers, doctors, political leaders, bank managers, pilots, pastors, soldiers, they can work in any profession,” he continued.

In his concluding remarks, Pastor Kasirivu emphasized that God has called both husband and wife to be submitted to one another, and to Jesus Christ.

“Headship does not mean superiority, submission does not indicate that someone is inferior. It is more of a responsibility than a position. Everybody lives under the authority of someone. Jesus is our authority; the father is the authority of the God-head. A godly wife will willingly let her husband be the head of the family, she will refer to him regarding all important decisions, but also, where there is a godly husband, he will always consult with his wife in all major decisions,” he said.
