Bishop David Kiganda survives deadly car accident

Car flipped multiple times, according to the wife.

Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda of Christianity Focus Centre, Mengo Kisenyi on Wednesday survived a fatal car accident while on his way to share the Word of God in Luweero district.

A Church official who spoke to Uganda Christian News on condition of anonymity said the accident left the Bishop’s car in complete ruins, most especially the frontal area. He however confirmed that the Bishop and his team (3 gentlemen) are well.

The tragic incident occurred around 4:00 pm after Bishop’s Kiganda’s car of personalized license plate ‘BISHOP 1’ blew a tire, and flipped multiple times, according to Pastor Cindy Kiganda, Bishop’s Kiganda’s wife.

“We need to be prepared all the time,” Dr Ap John Bunjo remarked on social media when announcing news of Bishop Kiganda’s accident.

“Imagine, I had just talked to Bishop Dr Kiganda, and after 1 hour, I had the he is involved in a terrible accident, but good news they all survived,” Ap Dr John Bunjo added.

Who is Bishop Kiganda?

Bishop David Kiganda is the Founder and President of Christianity Focus Centre whose Headquarters are situated in Kampala City, Uganda, East Africa.

He is also General Overseer of more than 80 other Church branches which are situated across the nation under the same administrative leadership.

He is the Founder and Executive Director of Christianity Focus Grammar School: a center for 420 needy Orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda located at Budaali, Namayumba, Wakiso District.

According to the website www.christianityfocuscentre.org, David Kiganda got born-again in July 1987, under the preaching efforts and leadership of the Late Apostle Deogracious John Balabyekkubo and Dr. Joseph Sserwadda both then pastors of Victory Christian Centre, Kibuye Kampala.

After serving in his mother church for some years and attending various Bible training programs, conferences and seminars, he started the Christianity Focus Ministries in 1990 with a vision of planting and empowering churches, advocating and agitating for the five-fold ministries to take roots in the church as it is written in the Bible book of Ephesians 4:12.

In 2000, he was elected the Divisional Chairman of the National Fellowship of Born-again Pentecostal Churches – Uganda, Kampala Central Division.

ln July 2005, he was elected District Chairman Overseer of the entire, NFBAPC-U, Kampala District.
