Born-again Christian soldiers serving with the Ugandan armed forces have announced a 4-day gospel crusade in eastern Uganda.

This crusade scheduled for 4th-7th September, 2019 will be conducted in conjunction with the Butaleja Pastors and Elders Fellowship at Buffujja primary school play grounds, located in Butaleja district.

Also expected at the crusade are preachers in the Uganda Police Force and Prisons Service of Uganda.

Announcing the crusade on Tuesday, Mr Ivan Aggrey Kajuba, a Christian author, evangelist and soldier in the UPDF said, “Butaleja must bow to Lord of lords in Jesus name!”

According to Aggrey, often times, believers do not remember that “each one has a unique place and role in the Church of Christ.”

Earlier this year the same group, joined by The Commandant, ACP Mugabi Michael, conducted a crusade at Luzira Prisons Force Barracks on 6th May.

They reported over 120 new converts who were later baptized.

Media Publicist at Military Christian Fellowship – Uganda, Mr Gad Timothy Angonu who attended the event that time, described it as “powerful.”

Mr Kajuba urged Church ministers not to limit God’s work to the pulpit saying “it goes far beyond.”

“In Uganda, I have seen churches split as a result of struggle to preach on the pulpit, yet there are many other ministries we can do,” he said.

“We have seen God using His servants to glorify Him at their work place. For example, Joseph in Egypt ministered through his work and as a result his ministry sustained his family for 400 years,” he said then.

According to Kajuba, “Just like earthly soldiers are mandated by the earthly constitution, a believer is empowered by the heavenly constitution – which is the word of God.”

“As long as we are living within our ‘constitutional’ rights and performing our ‘constitutional duties,’ we have support form the heavenly government to destroy and uproot the enemy’s camp,” he said.
