Christian healthcare professionals, counselors and preachers used a medical mission conducted on various islands in L.Victoria to share the good news about Christ.

The initiative was spearheaded by Pastor Craig Linquist, together with his team from Calvary Chapel Entebbe.

After serving Kachanga Island located in Bujumba parish, Kalangala district, the group moved on to Bulamu and concluded with Nangombe, as revealed in an update.

The mission trip was hinged on, “the Word, Medicine and Counseling.”

In 2018, Pastor Craig Linquist expressed need for more medical facilities to the Ugandan population, especially the people living on islands.

“We have been sending out medical support to different islands on lake Victoria through a program termed Island mission,” he said then.

The Ministry reports that people on several islands mainly suffer from malaria, STDs, diarrhea, Cholera, dysentery and others resulting from poor hygiene, and yet they have limited medical facilities for treatment.

Other Islands have always benefited from Calvary Chapel Entebbe’s ‘island mission’ program over the years include, Sese island, Kakyanga, Zinga, Kimi, among others.

One of their medical missions in the country was graced by international gospel musician Jeremy Camp from USA.
