Christian mothers from all walks of life in Uganda met over the weekend at Seguku prayer mountain off Entebbe road to intercede for the younger generation.

Mr Godfrey Kutesa, founder of Kuteesa Foundation and the Boys’ Mentorship Programme shared the 2-day event highlights on Monday, encouraging more mothers in the nation to position themselves in prayer for their children.

“Somethings in your child will not change unless you go deep in prayer,” he wrote on Facebook.

“The best way we can enter the battle for our sons is on our knees, so let’s start fighting for them right now,” he added.

During the event started 10am and concluded 6pm, Mr Kutesa said special attention was placed on praying for sons, and breaking spiritual strongholds that families face.

“We base on scripture to pray that our sons may seat in their places of Kingship,” he said.

The next gathering is slated for the 20th and 21st of March, 2021.

Prayer mountain is a private Pentecostal facility established in 1999 by Apostle John Mulinde of World Trumpet mission.

Information from the administrative office indicates that it was established for purposes of praying for all nations to enter into their redemptive purposes.

Kuteesa explained while launching the prayer initiative last year that the enemy has redirected his energy to destroying the next generation, “by attacking our children especially sons at an early stage.”

“Unless you rise up as a mother to pray for your children, no one will do it for you,” Mr Godfrey Kutesa said then.

He urged that through prayer, parents are able to shape the destinies of their children, grandchildren and every generation that follows.
