Gaba Community Church (GCC) led by its lead Pastor, Peter Kasirivu has reached out to the Muslim community affected by floods while dealing with Covid-19 challenges in Katoogo, a slum on the shores of Lake Victoria in Ggaba, Kampala.

The outreach program happened on Saturday ahead of Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.

In a brief statement, Pastor Peter Kasirivu revealed that food items including rice were distributed to 100 Muslim families.

This year’s Eid celebrations coincide with a nationwide lockdown imposed by the government to limit the spread of coronavirus, a deadly pandemic that has so far killed thousands around the world with more than five million confirmed cases.
