The ministry organisation founded by late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, has witnessed more than 1.2 million people hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, during a 4-day crusade in Nigeria.

According to the current president and CEO of Christ for All Nations (CfaN), Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, “hundreds of thousands” gave their lives to Christ not only at the crusade in Ibadan, Oyo State from 12-15 November, but also during more than 1,800 outreaches conducted in villages and markets within the country.

Evangelist Kolenda said more than 145,000 people showed up on the very first day of the crusade despite a heavy down pour.

“As I took the platform to preach, rain began to bucket down. One would expect the crowd, standing under the open sky, to disperse in all directions in search of shelter. Instead, no one left or even stirred. In fact, it seemed to me that the rain only strengthened their confidence that the Lord would meet them tonight,” he explained in a report.

Evangelist Kolenda said that the crowd grew substantially over the days, and that there was a palpable sense of expectation and faith.

“As I preached the Gospel, you could hear a pin drop. The people were drinking in the Word of God. When I gave them an opportunity to respond, they broke the doors down, rushing into the Kingdom of God. What a joy to be a proclaimer of Good News in the season of harvest,” he said.

The crowd was absolutely massive—something unheard of since COVID,” he continued.

According to the Pew Research Center, Nigeria has one of the largest Christian population in Africa. However, many believers in this west African country have been murdered for their faith than in any other country, sources say.

Violent attacks by Boko Haram, Fulani militants, ISWAP (an affiliate of so-called Islamic State) and other Islamic extremist groups are common in the north and middle belt of the country, and are becoming more common further south.

In the crusade report, Evangelist Kolenda observed one notable miracle that happened to a military man who had been in a motorcycle accident thirty years ago. As a result, his skull had caved in (the scars of which are still clearly visible), and a metal rod had been put in his leg, making it difficult to walk.

“A few days ago, he had fallen in a ditch and was badly injured. But Jesus supernaturally completely healed him at the crusade. He said he couldn’t feel the rod in his leg anymore. He was pain-free and had perfect use of his legs. He even started jumping up and down on the platform. This tough man wept for joy as he thanked God for his healing,” Evangelist Kolenda narrated.

“We heard many more amazing testimonies, and at the close of the meeting, long lines had cued up waiting to testify,” he said. “When I asked how many had received healing during the crusade, literally thousands of hands went up.”

CfaN revealed that they will also travel to South Sudan for their final Gospel Crusade of the year in a few days.
