LightHouse Television (LTV) is fully set to celebrate its 24th anniversary on Saturday at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala, and its leadership believes the coming months will give the Christian television mainstay abundant opportunity to reflect on the blessings and fruit God has given the channel over the past decades.

Lighthouse Television is owned by Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth, Texas pastored by Pastor Bob Nichols.

The mega celebrations are expected to draw several Pastors in the country including Dr. Bishop Joshua Lwere, the senior pastor of Grace Assembly Church, Kampala and Overseer of the National Fellowship of Born-Again Churches of Uganda.

Others are Apostle Alex Mitala, Apostle Anthony Muhumuza, Bishop Harry Morris Bukenya, Pastor Tom Mugerwa, Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo, Pastor Wilson Bugembe among others.

“We have invested in Uganda because we believe in her till this very day. I could tell you all the challenges we have been through in the years, but when your faith is in God, when you realize that “I don’t have much but God has everything,” all things are possible to them that believe,” Pastor Bob Nichols said earlier.

The main speaker will be K. A. (Kirt) Schneider, a Messianic Jewish rabbi and international evangelist. He hosts “Discovering the Jewish Jesus,” a television show available to more than 100 million homes in the U.S. as well as approximately 200 nations worldwide.

Aside Pastors, several gospel musicians are expected at the free-to-attend anniversary celebrations including Levixone, Coopy Bly, Holy Keane Amooti, Sandra Suubi and Baby Gloria.

Dr. Robert Nichols earlier revealed that the Christian Channel is not after making financial gains in Uganda but broadcasting the gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. In the past several years not only has LTV expanded its distinctive reach, but it has grown to accommodate more preachers in the country and beyond.

“Christian television is not easy. We have invested several million dollars and we thank God for the privilege. Contrary to people’s belief, some [may] gain from Christian television, but that’s not what we came to do in Uganda, we are not here to make money, we are here to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,” Dr. Robert Nichols stated earlier.

“The answer to Uganda becoming greater is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel of Christ is the gospel of love, compassion, healing. The true gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is a helping gospel, loving gospel, team work gospel if we all pull together and seek from God to do,” he said.
