Christians leaders from different parts of Uganda and the globe are gracing a 4-day annual prayer conference in Kampala aimed at among other things positioning the body of Christ for revival and bridging the gap or restoring spiritual father-son relationships.

On Wednesday, Christian leaders regarded as spiritual fathers – and that have had a significant impact on the younger generation – held a candid conversation with the audience and upcoming young ministers.

“The tragedy of our generation is that most spiritual parents die with the blessing. They do not pass it on the the next generation,” said Apostle Michael Kimuli in a release. “The time is now. God is restoring, rebuilding and establishing relationships in the body of Christ.”

Running under the theme ‘Partners In Revival’, the conference hosted by Apostle Michael Kimuli of Christian Discipleship Ministries International (CDMI) has so far been graced by several prominent Christian leaders including Ap. Charles Tumwine, Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda, Evangelist Arto Boa, Apostle John Bunjo’s son Jojo Bunjo and Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga’s son Joshua Ssenyonga, among others.

“In 1996, the LORD instructed us to establish a network of prayer, one that would spread out like a wide net. The only thing that has missing to bring revival is the network across the globe, that is why this conference has brought together spiritual leaders from different nations to form a partnership” Apostle Michael Kimuli said.

On his part, Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda, the Founder and Senior Pastor of Christianity Focus Centre Church, Mengo Kisenyi said before Christian leaders and the body of Christ at large pray for the revival of a nation, “we may need to first pray for our individual revival.”

Bishop Kiganda urged that where there is no revival there is death and stagnancy.

“The good news is that God can revive that which died. Let us start by reconciling with God and restoring our relationship with God,” he said. “It is time to prevail over that which prevails over you.”

Kiganda cautioned believes against idols, which he described as anything we trust in, depend on, give ourselves to, love, esteem, or treasure more than God.

“Are you still excited about salvation and being a child of God? Do you still feel the joy of salvation? May God restore your joy of salvation so that you will have discipline to know what to do and when. So that that the material things do not become your idols. Idols are things that take God’s place in your life, it can be a tv, the phone or internet,” he said.

Apostle Charles Tumwine during his ministration prayed that the new generation will serve the God of Israel and display His power.

“May God give you the resources you need for the end time harvest. May God package and display you. None of you will have a still birth. May God give you energy. He cannot give labor pangs and not give power to push,” he prayed for the spiritual sons.

Other much anticipated speakers include Dr. John W. Mulinde, Bishop Joshua Lwere, Apostle Tumwine Charles, Dr. James Magara, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo Museveni, Apostle John Bunjo, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Minister Batambuze Daniel, Mrs. Kimuli Sarah, Pastor-Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi.

The conference started 12th December at Kampala Parents School, from 8:00AM to 8:00PM daily, and will be crowned off on 17th December 2022.
