A Christian Charity organisation that seeks to bring an end to child sacrifice and human trafficking in Uganda has helped security officials hunt down a witch doctor who killed a 5-year-old boy.

Kyampisi Childcare Ministries, founded by Pastor Peter Sewakiryanga, revealed that the culprit was arrested during an intensive operation carried out on Friday night.

The victim was a child to a mother who lost both children to the evil practice.

“The boy was called Wilson, 5 years old, killed with his tongue cut out,” the organisation stated in a release.

“The 1st boy disappeared 26/09/2019. In this case, the mother lost her second and only remaining child also to child sacrifice,” they added.

Kyampisi Childcare Ministries noted that they have had 7 cases related to child sacrifice in two months.

“We will continue hunting others tomorrow (16 November, 2019.) Please be praying the safety of our team conducting the operation,” they said.

Reports have shown that Children and adults in various parts of Uganda are kidnapped by witch doctors who torture and often murder them as part of a supposed spiritual sacrifice.

The witch doctors mutilate the children and use their blood, tissue or organs in rituals they promise can bring clients protection, prosperity and good health.

He helps rehabilitate survivors and raise awareness of the practice, working with politicians, police, prosecutors and judges to bring offenders to justice.
