The nominees for the 1st Annual Vine Awards which seek to recognize and reward Christians who have excelled not only in the gospel music industry but also other fields including comedy, media and spoken word have been announced.
Nominations celebrate the best of the Gospel music genre across various categories including song and album of the year, deejay of the year, spoken word act of the year, video of the year and many more. Voting will be open to the general public starting 1st February, 2020, via their online platform www.vinepulse.com/awards
Renowned musician Robinsan garnered 3 nominations. Levixone, Sandra Suubi, Grace Nakimera and Naxa received 2 nods each.
“Thousands of music stake holders mainly from Uganda, East Africa and the rest of Africa took part in the [nomination] exercise,” the organizers, Vine Entertainment Group, said.
It should be noted that Nigerian music producer, singer-songwriter Florocka will perform at the awarding ceremony scheduled for March at Kampala Serena Hotel.
