Nigeria – Christian author and Pastor, David Oyedepo over the weekend dedicate a 100,000 seater capacity church auditorium in Abuja, Nigeria, believed to be the largest in the world.

The building owned by Dunamis International Gospel Center, was constructed over four years, according to the vision bearer and founder, Dr. Paul Idoko Enenche .

Guests at the dedication included Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Dr Morris Cerullo, Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Yakubu Dogara who is the 14th and current Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives.

Others were Bishop David Abioye, Pst. David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Dr Olasupo Ayokunle among others.

From a humble beginning, Dunamis International Gospel Centre was established on the 10th of November 1996. The first Sunday service was held at Abuja Centre for Arts and Culture.

Here, Church services were conducted for 2 (two) weeks before they moved to Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers, where worship took place for about 6 months. The Church later moved to her present site in June 1997.

In his sermon, Bishop David Oyedepo urged the audience to see the auditorium christened ‘the Glory Dome’ as a fulfilment of the prophecy of God rather than an achievement.

“We have not come to celebrate a bison but a divine visitation. This is not an achievement by a fulfilment of prophecy because God commanded it, he also has executed his project,” Oyedepo explained, according to Nigeria’s Kemi Filani.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, according to media, stated that Nigeria will be great again notwithstanding of the present challenges facing the country as he compared Nigeria to Biblical Israel.

On how his church built the 100,000 capacity Glory Dome in less than four years, Dr. Paul Enenche said the land upon which the auditorium was built was “first released via revelation.”

“God gave us that vision; with the vision, there must come location. That was how we began to pray and in the night I had a revelation where I was taken to a land along the airport road, with a landmark that showed me that land,” he  said.

“We looked for land but we couldn’t find one. So we decided to buy land somewhere else, almost a thousand acres and another almost 700 acres in another location. We were almost starting in one of those places when the Lord reminded me that there was somewhere else he showed me and that I should still go ahead and look for the place,” he continued.

Adding: “I then called one of the surveyors in our church and anointed him with oil and tasked him to go and look for the land along the airport. To the glory of God, within one week, he was back and said he had found a place. And when we got here, I said this was the place the Lord showed. And that was how we secured this place after almost ten years when it was first released via revelation.”
