Psalms 45:1
For the director of music. To the tune of “Lilies.” Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil. A wedding song. My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

On so many occasions I have found people giving me their opinion on what I should write or even sing about.

When I try their way, it doesn’t work. Question is, “why does it fail?”

As 1 Corinthians 12:20 says, “But now indeed there are many member, yet one body,” I realized that each part is stirred or trained differently to recite certain things about the king.

With this, I came to the understanding that my tongue was given a specific skill, to sing or say certain things. Yes, we are many writers and singers with different skills, but we receive from the same spirit.

That’s why there is no need of becoming Cain if you Abel, or becoming Abel if you Cain. Stay at your post, give the best of what God has skillfully enabled you.

Don’t fight another man, but celebrate the difference he or she brings in the body.
