Forum for Democratic Change presidential flag bearer Dr. Kizza Besigye made a surprise stopover at Watoto Church Downtown during his campaign trail to Namboole on Sunday. ‪

Watoto Church Downtown pastor Julius Rwotlonyom reminded Christians of their role and responsibility to the state as per the forth coming presidential elections.

He urged that through voting, it is a simple yet significant way we can do something about politics in our nation. All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

“Changing things that must change, God wants us to be involved. But in this season particularly, go and Vote. Don’t stay at home and just pray and hope that people vote well,” Pastor Julius said

He additionally said, “Listen Christians, you have your national ID I have mine; I know where I am going to vote from. Go and vote,”

As reported prior, the clergy of Uganda was cautioned from giving politicians a platform in church. Arch Bishop Ntagali said the church should remain impartial in politics, but has the mandate to bless all the aspirants uniformly because the leaders are God-chosen.

Besigye was warmly welcomed and did receive the blessings of the worshipers after service.

Upon departure; he was joined by his wife Winnie Byanyima with whom they made several other stopovers at Kawempe, Kireka and finally Namboole.‪

While at Nambole, Dr. Kizza Besigye recommended that Ugandans should get ready for change come the 18th February which will be the day of the revolution.
