Jose Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja has attended Uganda’s most followed Christian revival meeting code-named 77 Days of Glory [D.O.Gs].

The 38-year-old was invited to Miracle Center Cathedral – Rubaga on Friday by former Amarula Family comedian turned gospel artist Eddie Kigere.

He stood before hundreds of thousands that follow this daily gathering that has seen God demonstrate his love and miracle power to high and low profile citizens from all walks of life.

Pastor Robert Kayanja earlier told the Church that he has always been praying for Chameleone, who when reports of divorce from wife surfaced on social media said “I am a Catholic and I don’t believe in divorce.”

Chameleone attending the revival meeting is also an answered prayer for city socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black, who in April took to social media reminding the singer to give his life to Christ. She further urged Chameleone to change his life and think twice for the wages of sin is death.

“I was home on TV when I watched Eddie Kigere give his life to Christ. There were so many musicians that came here that day. I would like to say that I’m a man that believes in God so much. I would not be what I am today if it was not for the grace of God. I get my Children on their knees and we pray.” Chameleone said when Pr Kayanja gave him an opportunity to speak to the congregants.

He said he was amazed by the way Eddie’s life was transformed by God when he got saved.

“I thank you all. Thank you for allowing me pay with you today. We sent spies, and they have brought me here. I will be back with my family and we will [join the equation]. We are looking for the way to lead us to the Holy Spirit. I desire to be like Eddie, I will bring my family for prayers. I promise we will be back.” He said.

Pr Kayanja told Chameleone: “Jesus said; whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father. Let me give you a prophetic word, the day you will say, I have accepted Christ as my personal savior, I say it as every one bares me witness, Chameleone, you will have no place large enough to contain your finances. You will have to hire a manager because the whole world, people that matter will be in need of you. The Holy Spirit is powerful…he can transform a life and place one in a career position he/she has never been before.”

“The most important thing is to have eternal life. Secondly, there are so many people watching and waiting – the difference between entertainers and politicians is that for politicians, people follow them for just a season, while entertainers are followed for life…Christ will ask, I gave you my talent, what did you use it for?” He added.

In his prayer, Pr Kayanja asked God to visit the father of four, “and bring salvation to him, not when he is down or cannot sing, but while he is still in his strength.”

“Young as he is, you have blessed Him, therefore I pray Holy Spirit, that you will save him. You will encourage him and my father that you will show him Jesus. Precious blood, cover him and the people around him. Break every power of witchcraft.” He Prayed.

Elsewhere, the preacher says the Church prays for everyone in the industry of entertainment.

“They have influence over people. And if they can use that influence for the Glory of Jesus, many people will be touched. They are entertainers, they are not going to stop entertaining, but once they are under the holy spirit, and Jesus Christ as their savior, the difference will be great.” Pr Kayanja said.
