Precious Kids Foundation, a nonprofit organization which takes care of orphans, widows and individuals in underserved rural villages of Uganda and other African countries has on Monday inaugurated a free medical camp at Danida Health Centre II, Masese in Jinja district.

The camp is expected to draw close to 7000 patients who will not only receive medical assistance, but also life solutions for better productivity.

Speaking to Uganda Christian News on Sunday, Precious Kids Foundation Ambasaddor, CEO & Founder, Ms Precious Proscovia N, said the medical mission seeks to decrease the alarming rates of preventable premature deaths that have caused increasing numbers of orphans and widows in the country.

“The teams I bring from USA and other countries are a mixture of medical and non medical volunteers ready to offer medical care, entrepreneurship, community and economic development skills,” she said.

Ms Precious Proscovia has a background as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse. She told this News website she has for over 12 years taken care of orphans, widows and single mothers. She has used her leadership skills and expertise to decrease the alarming rates of orphans and widows, as well as worked towards decreasing poverty crisis in Uganda and other African countries through training and entrepreneurship to increase self-sustainability

Beyond Medical Missions, “we ‘teach them how to fish’ in hopes of educating, equipping and empowering them to be healthier, productive and self sustained citizens,” she said.

“It’s all to the glory of God. I strongly believe He gifts us according to the call He has placed upon our lives, and when He says who shall I send… it becomes my privilege to stand and say, ‘here I am Lord send me.’ That’s my passion, my calling and my pulpit,” she said.
