Christian ministry builds optical center, donates ambulance

The projects were in partnership with Vision Aid Project and Celebrate Hope Germany e.V.

Celebrate Hope Ministries (CHM), a Christian non-profit organisation supporting vulnerable people out of poverty through various initiatives including coffee growing, has set up a state of the art Optical Center in Ssanje, Rakaii district which will be manufacturing glasses for people with sight problems

The grand opening of the newly established facility on Monday was spearheaded by Pastor Freddie Ssekyewa, president, Celebrate Hope Ministries and graced by the Resident District Commissioner, Chairman LC5 Kyotera District and the District Health Officer.

The project was in partnership with Vision Aid Project from Germany.

Vision Aid Project said the aim of the Optical school is to train suitable candidates within the district within two years by German master opticians and specialist staff. 

“At the end of two years, the trainees will be able to perform simple eye exams, make eyewear with appropriate glasses, and customize them to local people,”

In partnership with Celebrate Hope Germany e.V., Celebrate Hope Ministries Uganda earlier unveiled an ambulance ahead of its medical camp in Betereemu village that saw 220 patients receive treatment.

CHM has been in existence for 8 years planting churches. The ministry Started with 7 churches and is now celebrating 260 Pastors, 260 churches, 260 communities.
