MUTUNDWE – Christians in the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) and other security agencies across the nation participated in the 5th East African Prayer Convention 2019 organized by the Association of Military Christian Fellowship (AMCF) Uganda from 3rd-7th May, 2018 at Serene Suites Hotel, Mutundwe – Kampala.

The Fellowship is a non-political, non-denominational organization that encourage Christian service men and women to apply the teachings of Jesus to their personal and professional lives.

The Convention under the theme ‘submitting our ways to God’s will’ taken from Psalms 81:13 was graced by General Elly Tumwine, the Honourable Minister of Security.

Apostle Kimuli urged the congregants to pursue God and live out faith while on active duty. The apostle also said Uganda is living in prophetic times.

“I feel we are a generation in prophecy. When you look at the level of desperation to understand the supernatural, when you look at the hunger level in the hearts of young people, and when you look at the attack on the church, it is a sign that this is the time of God’s visitation,” he said at the convention.

“This is the time when the Moses is to be born. In Gen 15, God revealed to Abraham what was about to happen to his descendants. That is the time God made a convenant with Abraham, and as he spoke to him, He told him something that is amazing. he said; you need to know that your descendants will to to a land that is not theirs. They will be enslaved their for 400 years. And after those years, they will come out powerfully with great possessions. God told him it is not yet time, but one of the indicators will be that the sin of the Amorites will come to its fullness. (Genesis 15:16),” he continued.

“We need to be very careful when their is contention in the realm of the spirit. When their is a fight. I can feel this time and season their is so much contention in the realm of the spirit. The two kingdoms are at war. This war is becoming intensive,” he urged.

The event included participants from South Sudan and the UK.

“I thank the LORD for the UPDF. From colonial Army through all the Armies that have served Uganda, UPDF is the only Army whose Officers and Men have dedicated their souls to serve the Lord,” Dr. Dickson Obwoya said in his speech.
