Prayer Palace Ministries lead pastor Bishop Grivas Musisi Kiwanuka has urged that one’s motives for being a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ must be genuine and biblically-based.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Prayer Healing Tabernacle Church located at Kibili – Ggangu along Busabala road, Bishop Grivas urged that God wants to do more for – and through a Christian than solve the problems one might be going through on a personal level.

“I know most of you come to Church because of problems, but God wants to do more than that. Apart from your problems, there is more that God wants to do in your life. How I pray that you see beyond your problems and recognize why God created you,” he said on 20 October, 2019.

“God wants you to be discipled in Church, to go and help others. Regardless of your need, or challenge you are facing, there is something more that God has prepared in store for you. But you must be faithful with the little you have. He who is faithful in little is also faithful in much,” he added.

The Bishop used his speech to share why believers should not come to Church for miracles only.

“God called me, but I never knew I would be a Bishop – or even a Pastor. I came to God because I wanted Children. In my family, I am the first born, but time came when all my young brothers and sisters married, and had children. It wasn’t the same case for me, until I made a decision to come to Christ. I thought I could detooth Jesus, by getting the miracle of Children and then run away from Church after that. But God is smarter than us,” Bishop Grivas Musisi Kiwanuka stated.

When he came to Church, things changed.

As much as God gave him children, including twins, he embraced God’s call upon his life. He continued with ministry, spreading the gospel among all communities he visited.

The thanksgiving service organised by Pastor Julie Deborah was aimed at giving God glory for a won church land battle.

Months earlier, the congregation had almost lost its land to the owner who had sold a larger portion to external developers, due to delayed pay by the ministry administration.

Pastor Deborah considered it a miracle after they were able to raise 10 million in less than a month to secure off the land portion the Church stands today.

That aside, Julie credited God for her perfect heath. She was involved in a car crash that almost claimed her life in 2015.

Submission to superior authority

Bishop Grivas Musisi urged the congregation to submit to authority, and continuously support their pastor.

He spoke against toxic and negative friendships, urging listeners to look for people who can promote their vision and dreams.

“Life is in levels, whether you like it or not. It is from glory to glory. You need friends who are above you if you are to go somewhere,” he said.

“The devil knows so well that it is not the problem that you are facing today that is important in your life. He knows that there is a call upon your life. What he does is to go ahead of you, confuse your mind, with some people who are vision-less. They begin to speak in your life so that the seed God placed in you does not germinate. Never believe such kind of people, they are everywhere and in very organisation. Such people do not leave the church, but are always against it,” he said.
