Lack of accountability in the public sector remains a serious problem for the current regime, as misuse of government funds affects health services and infrastructure projects in Uganda.

Through his message to hundreds of thousands that gathered on Friday at Miracle Center Cathedral, Pastor Robert Kayanja asked President Museveni to deal with corrupt officials in the country, additionally revealing that what is going to stop Uganda from progressing is the spirit of rebellion.

“This is the time to completely eradicate corruption in this nation. When I saw the army give you the sword, the spirit of the Lord told me; now he has the sword, he will cut of corrupt completely.” Pr Kayanja said. “For us we shall deal with the witchcraft, you deal with the corrupt.”

The Church reports that over half a million people attended last night’s deliverance meeting which has for close to 5 months seen over 39 million Christians from all across the world follow closely on ground, and through different platforms.

“I believe it is only in Uganda where you find a head of state and first lady coming to spend time in an overnight. 39 million people are following us on the internet – social media – from the United States and every where. Child of God, whether you like it or not, 41 nations of the world have already visited us. All eyes are on Uganda right now.”

Pastor Kayanja additionally talked to the attendants about the recent “6bn presidential handshake’, saying that President Museveni has the power to decide what to do.

“I pray that the spirit of jealousy and envy leaves the parliament of Uganda. If the president decides to give a gift to some people because they saved their nation money, then you make it a pin-point game like the president has no power to decide what to do….and that becomes a spectacle for 2-3 weeks, yet we have serious issues to discuss. Enough is enough you members of parliament. You are not going to derail us in things that are stupid.” Pr Kayanja said.

President Yoweri Museveni recently today the NRM Caucus that the 6 billion that was given to a group of lawyers after winning the oil case against Heritage was deliberate and he is proud of the group who according to him fully deserved their reward.

“I reject that I did anything wrong, I am very proud of these young people,” he said.

He went ahead to inform the caucus that the case was no ordinary case, it was an international war which the lawyers and the tax ladies ( Allen Kagina and Akol Doris) won amidst the pressure, challenges and the temptations that they faced.

He however said that the only thing that could have gone wrong was to infiltrate names of people on the list who were not involved on the case behind his back and that if this was the case, it needed investigation. He also noted that there had been a misrepresentation of the whole matter because as far as he knew, when the taxes where deducted from the 6bn, 3.5bn was left to be shared amongst the group, Uganda Media centre reports.

Elsewhere, Pastor Kayanja also told President Museveni to consider subtracting 10% of Uganda’s national budget funds to tithe.

He quoted Malachi 3:10 which says; Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.

“The 10% of our national budget must be removed – because you are a believer, let is be put in your hands – since their is no body that can manage it – the bible says that bring the 10% in the house of God, so that it may be full. we built all this [referring to the Cathedral], with the tithe. – date free, we owe no one.” Pr Kayanja said in part.

Adding; “There is a blessing that comes to people when they tithe. Israel has survived on that. You have given much, you have given cars to bishops, you have financed many things, I hope they write it down in history that of all the presidents we have had, you opened up more churches than any other president… You have financed religious activity more than any other. You have done a whole lot, and I hope the Church in Uganda understands, and they are grateful.”

Pr Kayanja said that the people of Uganda – whether in cabinet or government – must understand that a President comes with vision, “as a fountain of honor, God gives him a vision. But when you decide to do contrary to what has been said, you have unleashed the spirit of rebellion on the country.”

“One of the problems Mr president that we have is that the people you appoint to government are rebellious in nature. You tell them what to do, they don’t do it. And so all the good plans that this nation has through your vision have been frustrated … by fellow Ugandans. For last 30 years, Uganda has had the best vision ever. This time around, the church is not going to keep quite we are rising up in prayer to break the power of rebellion – to say that enough is enough – we will pray them out in Jesus name. Uganda must develop in the next 4 years.” Pr Kayanja said.

“We have seen you raise people, you put them in positions and tomorrow they turn against you in rebellion. Rebellion is a sin of witchcraft. So I stand as a man of God to say that your days are numbered [referring to the rebellious]. We move in unity as a country. There is Africa to save, a nation to build.” He stated.
