Gospel musician Zabuli is reminding the Church that God’s Word is unchangeable and Biblical truth should not be distorted – even for more ‘likes’ on social media.

In a release on Sunday, Zabuli cautioned against twisting scripture, urging that correct and sound doctrine is crucial to salvation and growth in spiritual maturity.

“God called you personally so receive through a personal channel. Let people who relate with you personally be blessed with the uniqueness of who you are according to the design of God,” she said

“Don’t distort that message to get more likes because believe me, through you to the vessels you are meant to reach out to, the message is always timely – with 2 likes or a thousand likes,” she added.

The Collision of Faith and Culture

Zabuli’s message resonates with preachers who previously warned about the millennial generation’s susceptibility to “watered down” or “feel good” doctrine aimed primarily at pulling crowds with no regard for spiritual transformation.

Out of fear of being falsely dubbed “irrelevant” many are said to be forgoing the authority of Scripture and embracing a couch potato, cafeteria-style Christianity all in the name of tolerance.

Zabuli urged preachers of the gospel not to succumb to pressure in order to stay relevant.

“Give it as it is; not under pressure to stay relevant,” Zabuli said of the gospel. “There is no award or gift for your over trying to impress a crowd you are not well trained by the spirit of God to deliver too. The likes don’t mean no relevance if no life is transformed.”

“Choose what to say how God chooses it, where, when, and to who. There is no pressure. Your silence in this season doesn’t mean you are irrelevant to the kingdom. May be you are at a place where God wants you to grow you more than you desire to stay put in order to learn. There is a lot of wisdom attained in watching others do, speak or act if you are interested in learning more in life,” the former Muslim and mentor to upcoming Christian music ministers continued.

“Let us help each other stay in sync with God on a personal [level] especially the vessels that speak on behalf of God. They are critical to the kingdom that we cannot let them swim with the swarm if God called them individually,” she said.
