Embrace the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit was given to us as a Partner and Helper.

Most of the challenges faced by man can be dealt with if we begin to be more attentive and not ignore the Holy Spirit because it is He that takes us from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

In order to operate with the breath of God, we must pay attention to and hear Him. We need to be extra sensitive to the things of the Spirit, because He controls everything; preaching, giving, education and so much more. In not paying attention to the Holy Spirit, I am disrespecting Him.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Revelation 3:6 (KJV)

We must believe the word for what it says; we must trust God because His Word is alive. You can only worship God when you are alive with Him because the dead do not praise Him.

We must;

  1. Believe that God is alive and that what He says will come
    to pass.
  2. Esteem the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives because He is here to stay. We should give Him our mind, body and soul – our all.
  3. Invite Him into our lives. The Holy Spirit was given to us as a Partner and Helper. If He is not invited, He will not come to play the part we need Him to play in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is not like parasites – those who are just looking to use you to their advantage so you can take them to another level. On the contrary, the Holy Spirit will not come until you tell Him what you want Him to do. So we need to have rapport with Him.

To do all the above, it requires obedience.

Obed – Edom, an uncircumcised Philistine took the Ark of the Covenant into his house and was able to keep it because of his obedience. It is very important that we are obedient.

When I think about it, the 77 DAYS OF GLORY started long time ago when I was called to ministry at the age of seventeen. God told me that if I would obey Him and take on the journey, it would lead me to where I was supposed to go.

Saul’s becoming king of Israel did not start when he met Samuel. It started when he obeyed his father and went out looking for his father’s donkeys (1 Samuel 9:1-20). He was operating in the fifth commandment which says,
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you” -Exodus 20:12 (NKJV)

As Saul kept looking, he reached the place where he expected the donkeys to be but alas, they were not. Instead, in that place, he met the prophet Samuel. The key to Saul’s rise was obedience and indeed, the reason for his fall was disobedience. Saul never had any known adulterous relations as was the case with David, he never killed a man for his wife like David, but
it was disobedience that killed him. He had been brought in by
obedience and was to be sustained thereby.
