Evil spirits have attacked our women, killed our Children – Ssembabule residents

Residents of Kasonji in Lugusuulu, Ssembabule district are in extreme fear following constant attacks from what they say are evil spirits.

They have told journalists that ever since this ordeal started, 10 women have been attacked and Children reportedly dead.

According to one resident, Yahayah Balijiine, victims inexplicably find themselves on the ground, powerless, and that by the time they are rushed to hospital, they are already dead.

Kasonji Chairperson Gerald Byansi has also told media that he has occasionally received such reports from the people, adding that they claim a one, Generooza Tumuhirwe hosts these spirits.

Nevertheless, Tumuhirwe has refuted the allegations saying those who spreading the rumor are after ruining her reputation.

Other residents have denied claims that these are evil spirits attacking people, adding that the children simply died of natural causes and that the women who say have been married and raped by evil spirits raped simply want to divorce their husbands.

Police authorities in this district have asked residents to remain calm and in-case of any misunderstandings, report to the station immediately.
