Going deeper in prayer

It’s high time we raise the temperature on our altars

By Pastor Ben Ochola

Revelation 8:3-5;

“And another angel came and stood over the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given very much incense (fragrant spices and gums which exhale perfume when burned), that he might mingle it with the prayers of all the people of God (the saints) upon the golden altar before the throne. And the smoke of the incense (the perfume) arose in the presence of God, with the prayers of the people of God (the saints), from the hand of the angel. So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it upon the earth. Then there followed peals of thunder and loud rumblings and blasts and noises, and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.”

Nothing will happen on the earth unless prayers rises from our altars into the heavens. Your prayers regulates divine activities on the earth.

Daniel 10:12;
“Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words.”

Acts 12:5-7;
“So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to God by the church (assembly). The very night before Herod was about to bring him forth, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, fastened with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison. And suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared [standing beside him], and a light shone in the place where he was…”

Prayer heightens angelic activities on the earth.

We shall see greater deliverances and unusual manifestations of God’s intervention on the earth when the church is engaged in heartfelt prayers.

Luke 22:45-46;
“And when He got up from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from grief, And He said to them, Why do you sleep? Get up and pray that you may not enter [at all] into temptation.”

Altars that are ablaze is what will break or neutralize the power of temptation that satan sends against us.

The level of compromise and sinful lifestyle we see in the church today is because the fire on the altars have died out. The power to overcome temptations and walk a holy life is drawn from an altar that’s on fire.

Hebrews 5:7;
“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;”

Jesus exemplifies for us the kind of prayers that will bring results .
It was through passionate, heartfelt and unashamed out pour of the soul that heaven responded by sending an angel to strengthen Him, and that same prayer three days later got Him out of the grave!

It’s high time we raise the temperature on our altars. We use fire to cook or make food ready for consumption. May God cook you and make you ready for your generation but it’ll take the fire from your altar!

Access has been granted, the veil has been removed. Let’s go before the Father boldly and pray heaven into our life experiences and establish His kingdom wherever he has planted us.

Stay Blessed And Highly Favored.
