Dickson Mushabe has spoken on different business meetings including the Annual Business breakfast organized by the Investors club of Uganda, Joomla Day Uganda , CMS Africa Nairobi, Vodafone Power Talks. He is also author of the bestselling business book “I am not sorry for my Mistakes”

Having started out as a barber and video library attendant, renowned author Dickson Mushabe, turned down an offer to work under the formal employment sector because he was earning more than what his employer could ever pay him.

Now CEO and co-founder of Hostalite LTD, the happily married entrepreneur stands assured that Christians fully yielded to biblical principles can prosper in business.

His company (Hostalite LTD) has grown to become a leading provider of domain name registration, dedicated web hosting, website Design & E-commerce solutions in Uganda and East Africa

“I want to tell people that young Christians are making things turn. We have done businesses the right way. We are thriving. We may not be there yet, but we are moving ahead.” He said, during an interview.

Married for 7 years, Dickson admits that creating a reading culture used to be a challenge for him, but things have changed.

“There is knowledge in these books. If you want to go to heaven, the kingdom principles are here. (pointing at a bible, among other books on his table),”

“If you want to thrive in business, read these books,”

“Christians need to show people that they can thrive in business the right way. They do not need to feel like they should take shortcuts.” He further said.

Dickson Mushabe is one of the key note speakers at the Annual Business and Entrepreneurship Conference at Deliverance Church Makerere Hill.

The Conference started Monday, and will run until 14th August, 2016.

Drawing attention to professionalism, the author furthermore pins Christian leaders in business who do not want to pay their employees.

“When it is time to pay workers, some start calling for prayer meetings. Prayer is not bad at all. However, employees must be paid because they deserve to eat,”

“How will their children go to school if you don’t pay them?”

His message to those who are just starting out is that, “you can make it. Follow the basic business principles. Read books.”

He emphasizes that we should not only read the Bible, but also business and entrepreneurship books.

“At the conference, I will talk a lot about basic business skills, registration, branding, handling employees, how to go to international partners, depending on how much time I have.” he concluded
