A home in Kitaihuka sub-county, Kakumiro district has been turned into a Church to help disciple new Christians in the area who gave their lives to Christ during a door-to-door gospel outreach in the region.

Speaking to Uganda Christian News on Wednesday, Evangelist Abigaba Jackson said his arrival to the western region of Uganda for evangelism saw many residents respond positively to the gospel message of salvation.

During his very first mission, the preacher says that many encountered God’s healing power, including one man who had battled mental illness for years.

“God healed him, so people kept on longing for the gospel,” he explained.

“I decided to continue preaching,” Evangelist Abigaba’s short stay turned into a long stay.

Abigaba was shocked to find that the region had less than 3 active born-again churches.

Eighty nine (89) people got saved during his continued stay in the region, which triggered demand for regular prayer meetings.

“They asked for the Sunday services,” Abigaba told this website.

The preacher is thankful that the young man who was healed from mental illness willingly gave up his home for daily prayer meetings.

However, due to COVID-19 concerns, the church meetings are under regulation and the preacher was also advised by security officials in the area to acquire legal documents for church establishment.

“Many people are getting saved, and some of them are traveling from different district coming to get healed and to receive Jesus in their life,” he said.
