The world today is easily lured by the idea of becoming a self-made success. While we should aim to be the best we can be and work hard to achieve more, we should always keep in mind that everything we do and everything we accomplish comes primarily through the grace of God.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:10, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” It’s good to be confident about our skills, talents and abilities, but there is a very fine line between confidence and arrogance.

What sets apart healthy and Godly confidence from destructive pride is a heart realisation that apart from Jesus Christ we are nothing. He is the source of our skills, abilities, position, and even life. When we understand that a deep level, humility as a person comes out naturally.

James 4:6 says, “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'”

And that’s what apologist Ravi Zacharias reminds all of us through this video message- that we are who we are and we are where we are primarily because of the grace of God.
