In Pictures: Dr John W. Mulinde bids farewell to his beloved son, Gideon

A public farewell began Saturday for the late Pastor Gideon Mulinde, as a steady stream of people visited Nations Prayer Mountain – Seguku to pay their last respects.

Gideon, 29, died Thursday following an abdominal complication, and is scheduled to be buried Tuesday in Kanganda village, Kabembe – off Kayunga Road.

On behalf of the pastoral team, Kampala Trumpet Center, Pastor Bwire Godfrey said in a statement: “He [Gideon] felt pain in the abdomen and was taken to Yesu Akwagala Hospital for diagnosis and the case worsened until he breathed his last breathe at about 8 p.m. Thursday.

Several Church and government leaders including Dr. John W. Mulinde (father of the deceased), Dr Joseph Serwadda, Pastor Robert Kayanja, Apostle John Bunjo, Apostle Michael Kimuli, Pastor Jackson Senyonga, Apostle Tumwine Charles, Col Edith Nakalema, Pastor Isaac Kiwewesi, Pastor Bob Muwanga, Pastor Sempa Martin, Bishop Joshua Lwere, Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda, Apostle Alex Mitala, Pastor Imelda Namutebi, and Justice Catherine Bamugemereire have graced the farewell service.
