Israel Prime Minister will visit Uganda on Monday

Development follows his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to arrive in Uganda on Monday next week, Mr Ofwono Opondo, the executive director of Uganda Media Centre confirmed on Saturday.

The high-level bilateral visit will see the 70-year-old meet Uganda President Yoweti Kaguta Museveni.

According to Mr Opondo, Netanyahu will travel with a delegation of about 45 people.

Netanyahu’s visit to Uganda will happen days after he traveled to the United States to meet with US President Donald Trump and unveil the “Deal of the Century” peace plan. Netanyahu also went to Russia to help obtain the pardoning of Israeli tourist Naama Isaachar.

In 2016, Netanyahu visited Uganda to honor his brother who was killed 40 years earlier in an anti-terror raid in Entebbe.

As earlier revealed, Uganda is reportedly planning to announce that it is moving its embassy to Jerusalem. This is according to Israel-based news paper The Jerusalem Post.
