Israeli company that creates drinkable water out of thin air wins award

An Israeli company that developed a clean technology to extract drinkable water from thin air while using little energy in the process has received a prestigious award.

Watergen’s smart home appliance called “GENNY” was named winner of the Energy Efficiency Product of the Year in the 2020 Smart Home Mark of Excellence Awards at CES in Las Vegas in the United State.

Since its inception, Watergen has received praise for its work, including from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who hailed its technology for bringing water “to millions of people in Africa”

The company’s mission is to eliminate the need to rely on outside sources for life necessities and to help people become more environmentally friendly.

In 2018, Watergen was selected as one of Israel’s top 9 most influential inventors.
