135 people in Butaleja district, eastern Uganda received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior at an evangelical crusade where Born-again Christian soldiers serving with the Ugandan armed forces shared the gospel and also revealed how Jesus Christ has transformed their lives.

Captain Ivan Aggrey Kajuba, an author, evangelist and soldier in the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) told Butaleja residents that “Jesus has worked for us.”

Captain Kajuba used his sermon to explain how he has experienced divine protection on a number of occasions.

The soldier urged those struggling with various issues including witchcraft, to find meaning and purpose in life. Purpose, Captain Kajumba urged, can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

“Things will never remain the same for you. It is Jesus who has helped us survive bullets. What problem do you have that is greater than God?” Captain Kajumba said.

Other speakers, including ASP Brian Asiimwe, Cpl. Emmanuel Awourinawe attributed their life transformation to God.

“Whatever Jesus did before, He can still do it again. Whatever seems to be impossible with man, is possible with Jesus,” they said, quoting Hebrews 12:29 which says, ‘For our God is a consuming fire.’

The crusade was organised through joint efforts with Butaleja Pastors and Elders Fellowship.
