American rapper and producer Kanye West doesn’t seem to be slowing down in his pursuit of the Lord, according to sources.

CBN News reports that new music released by the 43-year-old continues with his recent theme of Gospel and Christ-centred musical content.

A tweet posted by the rapper on Monday ushered in a new song “Wash Us In The Blood”, and he also shared the title of his next faith-based album, ‘God’s Country’.

The video concludes with a gospel choir singing, “There is nothing too hard for God” and West saying, “Wash us in the blood of Jesus. Holy Spirit, come down. We need you now.”

December 2019 was the last time the public heard new music from West, when he released his Christmas album, Jesus Is Born.

West released his first gospel and Christ-focused album, Jesus Is King, in October 2019.

West’s conversion to Christianity and his acknowledgment of faith through his music has helped lead thousands to Christ, sources say.

Before the shutdown of churches and public gatherings due to COVID-19, West was travelling with his Sunday Service choir to speak and perform at churches and outreach events in the United States. One of these visits included an appearance at Lakewood megachurch in Houston, where West shared his faith with pastor Joel Osteen and the congregation.

“I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil has been distracting me for a long time,” West said during his conversation with Osteen. “When I was at my lowest points, God was there with me. Inspiring me and sending me visions.”

West has also made overtly-Christian public statements, including “Following the Bible can free us all. Jesus can set you free.”

Meanwhile, the rapper also declared on twitter that he will be running for president of the United States.

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION,” he tweeted.

The primary elections in U.S have been taking place over the past few months and the 2020 presidential election is only four months away.
