Kenya – Singer Size 8 is a darling to many since departing the secular world for a more sober gospel industry.

She has released a stream of hits that have gone to prove how talented she is, switching genres as she wills.

Real name Linet Masiro Munyali, the singer is under heat courtesy of her latest collabo with controversial gospel singer Willy Paul, a song that has had many tongues wagging.

Amazingly, Size 8 and Willy Paul did a collabo entitled ‘Tam Tam’ a few years ago, a hit that continues to shine even today.

Perhaps hoping to ride on the success of that song, the two reconnected in yet another project, a new track called ‘Tiga Wana‘.

Left in utter shock, things are turning ugly for the pair after Kenyans have out-rightly rejected the new tune.

Trouble started when Size 8 shared the link to the video on her Facebook page last week. No sooner had she put the the full stop, than Kenyans in their droves criticised the singer.

Let alone his constant fights with fellow gospel singers, Willy Paul is reported to have an overly strong admiration for working with secular singers.

Willy once approached Mseto’s Mzazi Willy Tuva to hook him up with singer Diamond Platinum for collaboration; something that raised eyebrows among christians considering Diamond is a Muslim and Willy Paul sings Gospel music.

Platinum turned down the request telling Citizen Radio, “If the collabo is based on a particular denomination, I am a bit skeptical to engage in it. I would not want to be viewed as mocking a particular religion, or doing a promotion for another.”

Tiga Wana has received criticism from users on social media with some faulting all stakeholders in the gospel industry for the change of course.

Below is a sample of harsh comments that were directed at her:

Susan Kanini: This one NO! Lemmie stick to my serious gospel songs such as ‘Made a Way’, ‘Your Presence is Heaven to me’, ‘Covenant Keeping God’, ‘My soul says Yes’…. At least these make sense to me… I can worship!

Okuyo Shallian Shazz Sharon: Let me stick on Gloria Muliro,Mercy Masika.

Promise Kalleishu: Willy Paul is taking you back to secular n by the time u notice utakua umeanguka,in life there are destiny helpers and destiny killers…a big nooooo to me….we expected a great one after palepale
