“March for Jesus” draws 10,000 in western Uganda

The march brought together multitudes of Churches.

Hundreds upon hundreds of Pentecostal Christians in Mbarara district located in the Western Uganda on 24 January, 2020 took to the streets to proclaim God’s sovereignty over the nation during the ‘March for Jesus’ organised by Daystar Cathedral.

The Ministry lead pastor Bishop Nassan Ibrahim Turyamureeba estimated the number of participants at 10,000. They included government officials, city leaders, the Uganda Police Force Band, bishops, pastors and others from America and Israel.

The event was also used as a platform to promote comfort and peace for Israel through prayer.

Born in 1983 in Melbourne, Australia, the event has spread out worldwide, especially among evangelical Christians. In France, the first “March for Jesus” took place in 1991, with the aim of testifying together publicly of the faith, outside the churches, to impact the cities.
