Apostle Alex Mitala, the founder of Back to the Bible Truth Evangelistic Team, has intensified his mission of evangelizing more communities in Uganda through church planting.

Together with the leadership of National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches (Kyankwanzi District), the preacher revealed through a statement that they have launched a 2-year church planting campaign.

Despite of the COVID -19 threat, the initiative is expected to spread out in 59 locations across the country.

“All Church planters are available and each of them received a new bicycle as means of transport to those new identified locations,” the statement read.

By faith in Christ the Church founder, Apostle Alex Mitala explained, we expect 50 new Church plants within the period of 2 years.

He urged Christians to pray for a great harvest.

“Pray for these zealous and Spirit filled servants of God. Pray for their families. Pray for Gods material provisions. Pray for boldness and commonsense,” he continued.

Church buildings in Uganda were ordered to close early March following presidential and Ministry of Health directives aimed at cubing the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Apostle Alex believes that even during this period, God is still in control and the body of Christ shouldn’t use the pandemic as an excuse to pause on the Great Commission.

“There is nothing much, you can do to save His Church – because Himself is the Savior of the Church. What Church has to do now is to practice faithfulness and love for one another. Every believer in Christ should be respected and true gospel ministers should be encouraged in whichever way, more especially during this Covid-19 pandemic period,” he said in an update.

“Our anointing of all kinds, would be weighed by our humble and godly response, towards our fellow brethren: plus the community of our abode.

“Always remember: we are not building His Church; rather “He is building His church” and the gates of hell, shall not prevail against His church,” Ap Mitala added.
