When the Holy Spirit stirs a heart, powerful things happen. For Ms Nakivumbi Brenda, a former Orthodox nun, that meant walking away from everything she knew to follow Jesus, and have a personal relationship with Him.

For 3 days, she attended one of the largest pentecostal revival meetings in the capital, Kampala. She hide her white veil with a cap, and also covered her habit with a jumper (sweater), over fear of being stared at.

Before 2017, Brenda who was in a convent for over nine years, never thought she would ever give her life to Jesus Christ: “Religion had a firm grip on me,” she said.

Her experience with the life-changing power of the gospel started when she heard God’s Word of salvation through Jesus Christ being preached over the radio.
