“God is on the Move” : Over 220 students from St. Lawrence Schools say yes to Jesus Christ, prayed for.

It was unlike any other day at St. Lawrence College Paris Palais, London College (Maya), Crown City (Katende) and the Horizon Campus (Buddo) when youth voluntarily turned up and received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior when presented the Gospel.

“The decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you will ever make,” the Pastoral and discipleship team of about eighty lead by Mr Stephen Banyikiza Wamara of Watoto Church, Suubi told the ambitious youngsters.

Mr Banyikiza’s visit to the prestigious institutions came following an invitation he received from all campus’ Dean of Programs Mrs. Harriet Kiggundu in November 2017.

“When Mrs Kigundu approached me with a busy schedule for outreach (12 November – Paris Palais, 14 November – Horizon Campus, 15 November – Crown City and 17 November – London College) I knew it was a confirmation from God.” Mr Banyikiza recalls, revealing he had a stirring to see 400 souls saved within the same season.

“You could see from the time we arrived that they knew they were on a mission,” Mr Banyikiza notes of his team. “Connecting, setting up and getting ready for the evening – you could tell the atmosphere was set for the Word of God.”

“I shared briefly about Pain and how God still cares. We prayed for the students right after,” He states, urging that about sixty (60) students got saved at Paris Palais.

“Many of these students received healing, broke free from sinful habits. It was good to hear the ones we had prayed for last year testify how God was giving them victory over sin – Who else made this possible?” Mr Banyikiza questions.

“The Pastoral and Discipleship team that always goes beyond the call of duty to serve and see Jesus made known! I am grateful for your commitment. The worship team and the teachers who joined us.” he adds

Mr Banyikiza urges that God manifested strong among students at the other institutions the team ministered to the following days; with Horizon campus recording 90 salvations, Crown City 79 salvation and London College 73.

“One thing I know is that there is a party in heaven for every soul that comes to Jesus Christ. Let us make it our lifestyle. Jesus said we should go into the world to preach the gospel (Salvation in Him alone) and baptize in the name of the father, Son and Holy Spirit and to teach people to obey what he has commanded us. He promised to be with us to the very end! Let’s make heaven Celebrate!” Mr Banyikiza says.
