Pastor Lilian Kisakye of Alpha Christian Church in Lugonjo village, Entebbe Municipality breathed her last on Sunday moments before ministering at Church.
The 50-year-old is said to have died while preparations for a Sunday service were going on at the Church she pastors located at her residence.
The late battled ovarian cancer, Ms Odio Ruth, who heads the Church Praise and worship team told reporters.
“We had started service however, along the way received news that her condition had worsened.” She added.
Ms Odio said when they rushed to her house, Pastor Lilian Kisakye had passed on, which prompted them to stop the service since the two events could not be run concurrently.
Close relatives of the deceased who spoke of her condition revealed that pastor Kisakye was getting treatment at Mulago referral Hospital.
The deceased, mother of two, founded the Alpha Christian Church 25 years ago and has also been running the Alpha Kindergarten School in Nakiwogo.
She was also the Treasurer of the Entebbe Division ‘B’ Pastors Fellowship Association.
The body of the deceased was taken to Emmanuel Medical center and, will be laid to rest Tuesday in Buwaya.
