Pr. Dr Thomas Kula, husband to Pastor Imelda Namutebi, the founder of Liberty Worship Centre International, passed on Thursday at 2pm.

His death was announced by the ministry through a release on their official media platforms. Pastor Kula is said to have died after a short illness.

Close friends and colleagues recalled the Born-again preacher as a ‘father figure,’ mentor and Bible teacher, who devoted himself to the Gospel.

“We grieve with our fellow minister Pr. Imelda Namutebi Kula, Liberty Worship Centre International Lugala and the entire body of Christ. We pray that God comforts you at such a time of pain and loss,” Dr Joseph Serwadda’s ministry sent condolences to Liberty Worship Centre International following the demise of Pastor Thomas Kula.

He had ministered at Victory Christian Centre Church a few days back during #CombatMonth2021.

At Kansanga Miracle Centre, the lead Pastor Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi said, the Church “stands with Pr Imelda Namutebi and the Liberty Worship Centre lnternational as they have lost a Father Figure.”

“May the God of peace Himself supply you strength and comfort during this trying time,” he added.

In a release, Pastor Charles Kasibante of House of Inspiration Church Mutundwe said the deceased “has been a great and solid man of God in this country and to the rest of the world.”

He will be missed, he added.

“We have lost a pastor, husband, father and a minister of God,” Pastor Joseph Ngooma said on his part.

“Hearts tend to be spiritually blurred when witnessing servants of God like Pr. Kula passing away. But this reminds us of our God’s faithfulness when He was declaring the consequences of of sin to mankind. Remember we will never last long on this earth. We shall go everyone at his/her own rightly determined time,” Pastor Hannah Nsumba of Entebbe Airport Victory Church, said.

“My condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family of Liberty Worship Centre lnternational Lugala and the Born Again fraternity at large,” she added.
