Pompi, Limoblaze expected in Kampala this month

Celebrated ministers to make an appearance at 'Alive in the Park.'

Top Zambian gospel legend and wordsmith songwriter Pompi is set to minister in Kampala along side Nigerian recording artist and producer Limoblaze on the 20th of August 2022 at Legends Rugby Grounds – Lugogo.

The gospel starts are set to make an appearance at the first edition of Alive in the Park, a fun-filled event aimed at bringing together Christians from all walks of life from 10am to 9pm.

Pompi and Limoblaze will minister along side several Ugandan gospel musicians including Romeo Odong, Coopy Bly, Zabuli, D Reign and others.

According to the event organisers, ordinary early bird tickets are already available online at quicket, or at Power 104.1 fm offices and Sparkles Salon branches. Ordinary tickets Ush30,000, Ush10,000 (teens) and, Ush100,000 (VIP).

About the stars

Often blending Hip-hop and R&B, Pompi (original name Chaka Nyathando) has hits like “Simpulified”, “Mulungu Samagona”, “Mizu”, “No Rent”, “Maganizo Pa Ndeke” which he uses English and his local dialect to make it magical.

On the other hand, Samuel Onwubiko a.k.a Limoblaze kicked off his career in 2012 and has become a pioneer for Afro gospel music, sources say. He has since won several awards including the AGMMA Afro Hip Hop Artist of The Year for the years 2018, 2019 and the Best International Act at the Premier Gospel Awards in 2019.

After releasing ground breaking projects like; Bridges (2020) and Afrobeats Rap and Jesus (2019), Limoblaze last year (2021) released his 5th album; God’s Favorite Baby.

He has collaborated with gospel artistes from around the world including Lecrae, Da’T.R.U.T.H, Travis Greene, Papa San, CalledOut Music, Dena Mwana, Gil Joe, Andy Mineo, Ada Ehi, Cass, and a number of others.
