Pr Bugingo survives assassination attempt

House of Prayer Ministries International lead Pastor Aloysius Bugingo on Wednesday, survived an assassination attempt after his car was riddled with gunshots by unknown gunmen near Total Petrol Station, Namungoona, Wakiso district.

He was rushed to Mulago where doctors were able to stabilise him.

Officials say there is no early word on the motive. His driver, only identified as Richard, unfortunately did not survive the ordeal, according to multiple media sources.

“Just spoken to Pastor Bugingo is out of danger,” Social entrepreneur, motivational speaker & business man Mr. Frank M Gashumba said.

Salt Media where Bugingo is director, issued a brief statement following the incident, giving God glory for preserving his life.

“Praise the Lord, for more stay tuned to Salt TV and Salt FM,” the management wrote.

“Get well soon Pastor Bugingo. Condolences for the loss of your staff,” remarked the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Norbert Mao, quoting Jeremiah 15:11.

During crossover celebrations to usher in the new year, at Canaan Land in Kikoni, Pastor Bugingo declared 2024 as the “Year of Divine Opportunities.”
