A Christian married couple in Uganda’s capital Kampala that was unable to have a baby recently welcomed a son after 14 solid years.

Apostle Serwadda Ronald Mukisa who serves with Restoration Ministries International announced that he is set to give thanks to God this Sunday, together with his wife Juliana, after their barrenness was turned into fruitfulness.

“It was on the 28 January, 2019 when God wiped away our 14 years of childless tears,” he told his Facebook audience.

The preacher revealed that their 2-year-old son, Elioenai, came as a result of answered prayer. The name Elioenai means ‘I look to God‘ and is of Hebrew origin, he explained.

“It might seem long since the day you started waiting for God to do something similar, don’t lose hope, God is able, He will do it. You shall have the same song in Jesus name,” Apostle Serwadda encouraged his online audience.

God has done more!

For Apostle Serwadda, God’s faithfulness did not start with welcoming a child after 14 years.

The preacher still experienced His mercy back in the early 80’s when he beats the odds and overcome rejection.

He was abandoned at a tender age by his mother – who had a condition of albinism. “She left me with my father in Luwero at the beginning of the war in 198. I was 2yrs,” he said earlier. “So much happened until I became homeless.”

“I had developed asthma. I use to have regular attacks since I had no beddings. I use to sleep on a mat made with banana fiber, after that I got a mattress made of grass,”

Apostle Serwadda did not sleep on a real mattress until 2001 when God connected him to a team of evangelists and good samaritan named Ruth Muwanguzi who took him in and raised him as her own son.
