Student becomes born-again, aims to preach the gospel to nations

Here's an extraordinary story of one muslim student's salvation at The Amazima School in Jinja, Uganda.

A few years ago, the Amazima School was established in Uganda as a Christ-centered Primary and Secondary School that seeks to equip students with the tools of learning to enable them to live fully for the glory of God.

American author Katie Davis Majors, who is the Amazima school founder and chief visionary, believes the first objective in education is godly virtue or moral excellence.

Katie’s school mission is to live out the love of Jesus by educating and empowering the people of Uganda and the communities they serve.

“The structure of Christian education is such that the skills required for success in the school are identical to the tools necessary to enjoy a lifetime of learning. Education is not a product to be purchased or consumed, but a life to be lived. It is never a completed transaction. It is the ongoing conversation of many ages,”

In the latest development, Amazima School extraordinarily witnessed one of its students, Hasifah receive Christ following an interaction with her teacher.

“I was stubborn in the way that if some body told me about Jesus, I would just ask silly questions back. I didn’t like people who would tell me about Jesus,” Hasifah said.

Pastor Daniel Isabirye, the campus pastor and bible teacher said he never thought Hasifah would make the salvation decision.

“I will help those who don’t know Him to come close to Him by telling them the gospel,” Hasifah said, describing her journey to salvation.

“We are continually blown away by God’s faithfulness to draw the hearts of our students to Himself through the work at The Amazima School. Our job is to be obedient to the work God has called us to do and sow seeds in the hearts and minds of our students – the rest is up to God. He is always faithful,” the school said.
