He have been renting for the past 14 years, moving from one house to another. Renown Pastor, John Bungo had to move his entire family from their own house worth millions of shillings. This came after an instruction the wife, Mrs Sarah Bunjo received from God telling her to leave everything they owned except mattress and the blanket.
As revealed on Sunday, the couple says they had a vision to do a project. If accomplished, it would transform people’s lives in several areas. It included establishing of a hospital, school churches, and other programs aimed at supporting vulnerable people .
“God spoke to Sarah my wife that we should give away our house to another church for Him to build us the project without struggle.”
“We left the house within 5 days, this attracted the media. It was really an experience. We thought we were going receive it back within a year but, year after year, we kept waiting and all our hope almost failed.” Pr Bunjo says.
Acknowledging God’s faithful, the couple says they were enable to built the project which now has a church, schools and a program that helps vulnerable persons through providing education in over seventy schools in Luwelo Nakaseke and Wakiso. They have also been able to build houses for poor families.
We were nevertheless hard pressed waiting for God to bring back our house, Pr Bunjo says, noting that many mocked them asserting that “we didn’t hear God when we gave away our house, others said that we did it through excitement.”
“Yes, we have seen God build the project, getting friends who have helped us realize the dream of the project but no one at anytime thought of our personal needs especially the house or paying house rent, during the last 14 years all the people around me I mean people I raised in ministry prospered all areas, built houses but I and my family were living in tents (renting). It wasn’t easy but, we had to continue becoming a blessing to many families but almost with nothing on our side except the waiting on God.” He says.
“At the beginning of this year Top radio programs were stopped, we knew something great was coming.
We sought the lord, instead of God talking to us about the radio issues, he started telling us that our seasons especially the Bunjo’s seasons is back, since the beginning of [this] year we have been waiting on the Lord, and praise the Lord as I talk now, 4 days ago, we finally entered our own own house. I mean a real house. God has returned to us a thousand fold better than what we had before.” Pr Bunjo says.
When you sow a seed, Pr Bungo explains, it takes time to bear fruit just take heart, it’s season will come and the outcome will be eternal.
Ours hearts stopped looking at people for our providence, the preacher stresses.
“Always esteem others beyond your needs. We don’t give to people but to God. Rejoice when others seems to be running ahead you. When you take God first, He will restore all to you… Even though we were renting , the whole of my family gained a lot from God. The Anointing and influence increased tremendously. Contentment prevailed over lust for things. During this period we were totally dependent on God for our welfare without a Salary though, we had so many employees we were paying.” Pr Bunjo says.
