Aloysius Matovu, a born-again Christian who works with popular radio station Dembe FM has said he hosted House of Prayer Ministries – Makerere Kikoni senior Pastor Aloysius Bugingo for three years, every Sunday for one hour during his show, “Tumutendereze”.

This statement was made as he spoke to media reporters on Monday about his decision to quit working with the station.

“I will consider this a successful move for Bugingo to have me out of Dembe FM,” He told ChimpReports.

Notably, his statement challenges earlier reports in which he said Pr Bugingo was in no way related to his departure from this job.

“I just wanted to rest since I have been working nonstop,” He said.

Mr Matovu on 26th April, 2017 moved to sued pastor Bugingo over the alleged burn of bibles on Easter Monday.

Although the preacher soon denied the allegations, through their lawyers, Wamell and Co. Advocates, Mr Matovu and colleague Francis Jemba went on and accused the pastor of “insulting religion and wounding Religious feelings.”

Pr Bugingo was demanded to apologize to the clients and all like-minded Christians for the insults to their faith. The case seems to have lost forte between corridors.

Matovu has said he took a break from work after a meeting with his bosses held on May 2nd in order to “renegotiate a new contract” at the radio station. He was supposed to resume work on May 10th.

“On 10th we finalized with the Programs Director Moses Katongole, but when I looked at the way he was handling this issue, I decided to ignore the contract and move to another radio station,” He told ChimpReports.

Close sources to UG Christian News at Nation Media Group, that owns Dembe Fm, report that Mr Aloysius Matovu did not quit his job, but was rather fired.
