Robert Kayanja, the founder and Senior Pastor of Miracle Centre Cathedral will be handed a Nobel Award by the Uganda Entertainment Awards (UEA) come the 19th August, 2016 at Kampala Serena Hotel Kampala.
This announcement was made Sunday by the UEA management, emphasizing that this year’s event will be bigger and better.
UEA further profiled Robert Kayanja on social media, urging that Miracle Centre is among the region’s largest church buildings, accommodating over 10,000 people.
Pr Robert Kayanja started the Miracle Centre as a papyrus reed structure, together with a few other young ministers. He is also overseer of the Miracle Bible College, the Never Again Children’s project and the Kapeeka orphanage.
Pr Robert Kayanja with his wife Jessica Kayanja have one son Robert Kayanja Jr and twin daughters Kirstein and Kristiana. Kristiana survived brain cancer in 2004

He is the Director of Channel 44 Television, also nominated as Best TV Station.
The church has also founded over 1,000 Miracle Centre Churches across the country.
Reacting to the announcement, investment promotion expert and entrepreneur Maggie Kigozi wrote, “Over 1000 Miracle Centre Churches. Thank you Pastor for responding to the needs of communities for pastoral care,”
The Uganda Entertainment Awards seek to develop, recognize, promote and uncover the country’s untapped talent.
More than 41 categories were announced in June and among these, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Julie Mutesasira, Exodus and Levixone were nominated under the category of Best Gospel artiste.
Under the Best Female Entertainment TV Presenter category, we have Flavia Namulindwa, Justine Nantume, Malaika NNyanzi and Lady Beezo
