Season 8 of the Prayze Factor People’s Choice Awards International took place April 22nd – 24th, 2016 at Bahamas Faith Ministries International Founded by Dr. Myles Munroe.
Loved for their recent hit single ‘Oli Muwanguzi’, Mafuta Family is a top gospel music group based at Miracle Centre Cathedral, a megachurch in Kampala. They scooped three mega awards, spotlighting the entire award’s season 8.
The group won majority nominations, hence honored as the Afro praise choir of the year, Best choir of the year and Best international choir of the year.
The International Music Association (T.I.M.A.) was honored to present Gospel Recording Artist, Shelia Moore Piper, with top honors as the grand finale’ champion.
“Let me encourage some one especially fellow ministers who have waited on the Lord for years and you think things will never work out for your good,Please keep your head up Jesus is not a Son of man to lie,” said emotional Mrs. Alice Kimeze (R-Image), who represented the team at the awards ceremony, on return to Uganda.

“If it means taking you miles away from home just to say thank you, He will do it. Am a witness many people told me and some laughed and said it will never happen. But, I kept the dream alive knowing one day ,one night,in Uganda, in Africa or out of Africa Jesus will Say thank you Mafuta,Thank you Alice,”
She further added on saying, “I refused to be denied, I refused to give up ,I refused to listen to any one who said I can’t sing Mafuta can’t Sing.I Held my head up high,I only cried to Jesus especially in my Toilet(not funny it worked) I knew Jesus one day will disprove all who didn’t believe in us and little did I know he was going to do it internationally using,”
