‘Walking miracle’: Pr Bweyinda recounts surviving trailer crush

SUMMARY: What the enemy thought would become a funeral service later that day, turned out to be a praise service

Renown pastor of over 25 years, David Bweyinda miraculously survived a deadly trailor crash that left his vehicle smushed and overturned on 9th March, 2019.

The gospel musician and vision bearer of Redeemed Church, Masajja, was on his way to Entebbe airport from Kampala when a 24-tire trailor collided into his car.

Bystanders helped victims from the wreckage receive treatment at Kiruddu Hospital, telling media reporters they were not severely hurt.

Pr Bweyinda thanked God saying what the enemy thought would become a funeral service later that day, turned out to be a praise service.

He reminded the Church that they have victory against evil because of Christ’s finished work at the Cross, and that His grace empowers believers to fulfill their destiny.

“From hospital the doctors told me to go home, but with my stitched mouth and hand, I went to church to tell the spirit of Athaliah am still alive and to celebrate with my church family who gathered to pray,” Bweyinda remarked.

Athaliah, whose name means “afflicted by God,” was queen of Judah from 841–835 BC and the only female monarch to sit on David’s throne in biblical history (2 Kings 11:1–3). This came after eradicating the entire royal family so she could take the throne. Unbeknownst to Athaliah, a single grandchild escaped the massacre.

“The devil thought this was going to be a funeral service. But I want to turn it by force into a praise meeting. This is not a scar,” he said, pointing at his injuries. “It is a star. Heaven has marked me for victory. Fighters come from every battle. It doesn’t matter how they come out.”
