As Uganda and the rest of the world prepare to celebrate Christmas this year, its message of redemption, restoration and peace is especially relevant in this time of the COVID-19 outbreak, coupled with political instability, Watoto founder Gary Skinner has said.

The preacher revealed in a statement this week that Watoto Church will showcase a Christmas Cantata Production titled ‘Prince of Peace’, as a gift to the city of Kampala and beyond.

“This year, more than ever, the world needs to hear about the miracle of the Christmas story and the hope that comes with the birth of Jesus Christ,” Pastor Gary said.

So that the Church is able to follow COVID-19 guidelines, shows will be broadcast on air and online 22nd to 26th December 2020.

With a cast and crew of about 200 people, the Church noted that this year’s production is filled with exhilarating dance, drama, outstanding audiovisual effects, and favourite Christmas songs – both old and new.
