Televangelist Andrew Wommack, known for the Gospel Truth program that airs on several TV stations in Uganda is set to return to the Pearl of Africa this June for a Gospel Truth Seminar.

He is an American Evangelical Christian TV evangelist, a Charismatic Word of Faith teacher and faith healer, as well as the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries in 1978 and Charis Bible College in 1994.

In 2006, Andrew visited Uganda and held his first Gospel Truth event in Kampala.

There, he met with Pastor Herbert Kiwanuka, and the two began a fruitful partnership. Since that time, thousands of people in Uganda have heard the Gospel and are being discipled through churches like Glory of Christ and Charis Bible College Uganda.

He returned in October 2014, where among other things he presided over a graduation of Charis Bible School-Uganda students, met the local partners of the ministries and held two Gospel Truth rallies.

God opened the door for Andrew Wommack Ministries to begin touching lives through Lighthouse Television. His programs on this stations have been breadcasted for over 17 years now

The 68-year-old started preaching since 1969. He married his wife Jamie in 1972.

Over years, they have led several churches and completed their family with two sons, Joshua and Jonathan Peter.

He is much remembered for having issued a statement regarding Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2014. In this, he included a letter from over 200 Ugandan Christian leaders explaining the situation.
